Aslockton Forge

This image illustrates our work. Heart-shaped horseshoes, personalised with names and dates, commemorating weddings and anniversaries. Items to hang and candle holders. Traditional horseshoes are also stamped with personalisation, again for weddings and also to celebrate the life of a beloved equine (horse).

Aslockton Forge: what do we do?

We make gifts and sell online, using Etsy as our main selling platform.

We exhibit our wares and skills, during steaming weekends at Papplewick Pumping Station..NG15 9AJ.

Our home is Aslockton Forge, The Smithy, Mill Lane, Aslockton, Nottingham NG13 9AS.

Built in 1987, this is where we work.

The Processes: how we work.

The processes are simple and time won, developed through many years of hard work, combined with the repetition of earning a living.

Forging skills are used that have been passed on from master to apprentice, which are then refined, evolving into a personal, unique, individual style...this is what defines the process of hand crafting.

No item produced is ever the same!
