Given to a bride, this symbol of love was to herald the beginning of life’s new journey. 

These talismans, once given to the bride and then placed by the threshold of her new home, were considered to bring both luck and protection, to those who value and cherish its form.   

Forged from mild steel (99% iron) and measuring approx 10.5 cm sq., these shoes take on the shape of the silphium seed, an ancient plant used both as an aphrodisiac and contraceptive. 

Cleaned with abrasives and then polished, these gifts are finished with RENAISSANCE Wax ©.
